CBP Annual Awards
 
Dr. Joe Betz is CBP®’s DC of the Year and Dr. Deed Harrison is CBP’s Researcher of the Year
 
   
At the CBP® Annual Seminar in Chicago over the weekend of August 25-27, 2006, Dr. Joe Betz was given CBP®’s “Chiropractor of the Year” for his many contributions to Chiropractic, CBP® Research, and ICA. Dr. Betz is the ICA Representative from Idaho. He was on the ICA committee to critique the CCGPP Low Back Guidelines and he has authored several papers with CBP® Researchers. He spends long hours doing things for the ICA and CBP®.
In 28 years of doing CBP® Annual Seminars and giving out awards, an unwritten rule has been that a Harrison may not receive an award. However, this past year, Dr. Deed E. Harrison became the most published DC in the history of the Index Medicus. He has approximately 80 publications in Index Medicus journals and several more in CINAHL and Mantis.
Several other DCs and students received service awards for their service to Chiropractic and CBP®. Dr. Deed Harrison shown giving awards to (1) Dr. Karri Cardinal-Barr, who taught the CBP® Elective at Palmer-West for several years; (2) Dr. Shannon Hunt, who worked through the system to get CBP® approved recently as an Elective at Life University; (3) Dr. Bob Berry, who taught the CBP® Elective at New York Chiropractic College for several years; (4) Dr. Michael Vorozilchak, NYCC past CBP® Club President; and (5) Ruben Valdes (DC to be), who is President of the Palmer CBP® Club.
